The counselors at Olive Tree Counseling strive to bring a wide variety of counseling and support services to meet the needs of our diverse community and clientele. We treat anyone from youths to seniors, and our specialties include marriage and couples therapy, individual counseling, lifespan integration, and mental health.

Holly Hoff, LPC

Derek Sandlin, LPCDerek Sandlin is a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2011. He has specific inpatient and outpatient experience providing therapy for adolescents, families, and groups. Since 2008, he has served various populations throughout his 10+ years of clinical experience. These include children and families from low-income homes with behavioral challenges, felony offenders with psychotic disorders through a brief stay at the State of Alaska Department of Corrections, partial hospitalization treatment of adults with substance use disorders, and extensive work with children and adolescents during the past 5+ years at a local outpatient practice. Derek desires to serve individuals and families to allow them to reach their emotional and behavioral goals, while utilizing compassion to allow them to see themselves from a position of hope and joy, rather than a self-defeating perspective. Derek moved from Oklahoma to Alaska in 2011 and has never looked back. He loves the breathtaking beauty of Alaska's landscape and its people. Derek is a husband and father who enjoys playing drums, music, sports, spending time with family, camping, hiking, and the outdoors.

Brittney Punt, LCSWBrittney Punt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with specific inpatient and outpatient experience providing therapy for adolescents, families, and groups. She has specialized training to work with individuals using Lifespan Integration, EMDR, and Brainspotting used in treating trauma. Mrs. Punt moved from the Midwest to Alaska in 2013 and is proud to call Alaska home. She is a wife and mother who enjoys painting, camping, hiking, and the outdoors.
